Mission Dam Homesite, Montana

This tiny settlement is located in the extreme southern part of the Mission Valley or southern Flathead Valley, near the Mission Resevoir. I discovered this settlement using google earth. Mission Dam Homesite was named after Mission Dam. A BIA Homesite is an area of Reservation land where housing units are allowed to be built. In some cases they are built for non whites for recreational use. Using google earth i counted around 40 or more housing units in Mission Dam Homesite. It covers around 0.30 sq. mi. I would estimate the population of Mission Dam Homesite to be between 100 and 125. Mission Dam Homesite is but only three blocks away from Mission Resevoir. Surrounding the tiny settlement are numerous farms. St. Ignatius is less than three miles to the west. Below is a link to a google earth picture of Mission Dam Homesite, Flathead Reservation.
