Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana

Badger Creek, Montana

It is located 9 miles northwest of Birch Creek and is not a cdp or town. Badger Creek is very rural. A creek with a same name, Badger Creek of course, winds it's way through this area of Blackfeet Reservation. I named it after a road which winds through that area of Blackfeet Reservation, and of course, that creek. There may be up to 40 housing units located along Badger Creek Road, Kipp Trail, Piegan Trail, and a road just south and east of Piegan Trail. However, most are located between Kipp Trail and areas where Piegan Road branches off from Highway 89 and Badger Road also branches off from Highway 89. It covers up to 4.0 to 5.0 sq. mi. It's population is probably between 100 and 125. Elevation is 3,919 feet above sea level. Badger Creek is a good location to commence a town. Alkali Lake is 10 miles to it's east. Below are several google earth photos of this area of Blackfeet Reservation.
