Banning has 12,144 housing units and an average houseld size of 2.4 persons per housing unit. Elevation is 2,349 feet above sea level. Zip code is 92220. Although not very far from Palm Springs (the desert), Banning does not have the very hot summers Palm Springs does. Nor does it have the warmer winters Palm Springs has.
