Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana needs funding to establish offices at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation, Fort Belknap Reservation and at Great Falls, Montana where Hill 57 Reservation is located. Our goal is to gain Tribal Recognition at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation and Fort Belknap Reservation and Federal Recognition for Rocky Boys Tribe of Chippewa Indians at Great Falls with Reservation. Bugonaygeshig, Minnesota


Leech Lake Reservation has two schools named Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig. One is located over a half a mile northwest of Bena. The other and larger of the two schools, is located four miles to the west. The school located over a half a mile northwest of Bena has a number of housing units. They number 14 in all. The population of Bugonaygeshig, Minnesota is probably between 30 and 40. Since the settlement has the school, it obviously means the settlement is well off. Adjacent to the settlement are two resorts, which are to the east. The settlement is situated very near the southern shores of Lake Winnibigoshish and just north of U.S. Highway 2. The housing units are located along Old Housing Drive Northeast and Reservation Highway 70. Elevation is 1,311 feet above sea level.
