Bugonaygeshig, Minnesota


Leech Lake Reservation has two schools named Bug-On-ay-Ge-Shig. One is located over a half a mile northwest of Bena. That other and larger of those two schools, is located four miles west. Their school located over a half a mile northwest of Bena has a number of housing units. They number 14 in all. Population of Bugonaygeshig, Minnesota is probably between 30 and 40. Since this settlement has a school, it obviously means this settlement is well off. Adjacent to this settlement are two resorts, which are to it's east. This settlement is situated very near Lake Winnibigoshish southern shores and just north of U.S. Highway 2. Housing units are located along Old Housing Drive Northeast and Reservation Highway 70.
