Carrizo, Fort Apache Reservation

It is one of six Apache settlements on the Fort Apache Reservation of Arizona. Carrizo has over 30 housing units. It's reasonable to estimate the population of Carrizo to be around 100 to 125, since most Native American communities tend to have average housing unit sizes of 3.0 to 5.0 persons per housing unit. Elevation of Carrizo is 4,970 feet above sea level. Economically the citizens of Carrizo are probably doing poorly since the settlement is isolated. It is a good 20 miles from the capitol of the Fort Apache Reservation which is Whiteriver. Below are several links to pictures of Carrizo, Fort Apache Reservation.
