Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana needs funding to establish offices at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation, Fort Belknap Reservation and at Great Falls, Montana where Hill 57 Reservation is located. Our goal is to gain Tribal Recognition at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation and Fort Belknap Reservation and Federal Recognition for Rocky Boys Tribe of Chippewa Indians at Great Falls with Reservation. Cass Lake, Minnesota


Located in the northwestern portion of the Chippewa Leech Lake Reservation, the city of Cass Lake, Minnesota lies next to the southwestern shores of the large lake which gave the city it's name. Cass Lake of course. The population of the Chippewa city is 770 according to the 2010 census. Around 66% of the people living in the city are Native American. It is 74% when including mixed bloods and Mexicans. The whites account for 24% of the population. Cass Lake covers 1.1 sq. mi. It has near 300 occupied housing units, which gives the city an average housing unit size of near 2.5 persons per housing unit, which is well below normal for Chippewa settlements. The settlement is doing so, so financially. Around 29% of the city's citizens live under the poverty line. Racism is an endemic problem in the predominantly Native American city. It was only fairly recent when the first Native American was voted in as the mayor of Cass Lake, Minnesota. Elevation is 1,332 feet above sea level. Zip code is 56633. The region around the settlement is one that is especially beautiful during the spring, summer, and autumn. Forests surround the small city, as well as numerous lakes.
