Cass River, Minnesota

This small Leech Lake Reservation community is located two miles south of Pennington. In fact, it is a part of Pennington but Pennington is an unincorporated community. Cass River is located almost one mile east of Cass Lake (Lake Cass) and seven miles northeast of Cass Lake City. Housing units, which are between 20 and 25, are located along Cass River Road SE, Route 17, Cut Bank Road SE, and County Road 39. Though it is a part of Pennington, i thought i name it after Cass River Road which Pennington is sometimes called. Population of Cass River may be between 50 and 75. Elevation is 1,318 feet above sea level. Cass River is surrounded by woods. Below are several google earth photos of Cass River, Minnesota and links to other Leech Lake Reservation communities.
