Chicken Ranch Rancheria

It is one of the many communities of the Black Hills Indian Reservation. Chicken Ranch Rancheria is located along the foothills of the western portion of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is 2.2 miles southwest of Jamestown, California. This Black Hills Reservation community will have to be relocated away from the whites who live in that region. The population was 11 in the 2000 census. All who lived there were white. Again this Black Hills Reservation community must be relocated away from the whites. It has already been stolen by the whites. Chicken Ranch Rancheria is located within the land cession number 281. It is linked to the Reservation set aside from land cession number 281. The Reservation number is 280. However, Chicken Ranch Rancheria is really within the boundaries of the Black Hills Reservation. All of the Sierra Nevada Mountains including the foothills, are within the boundaries of the Black Hills Reservation.
