Chippewas of the Thames First Nation 42


Located in Ontario, the Chippewa settlement of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation 42 has a population of 747 according to the latest population estimate (2006). There are 288 total housing units in the settlement with 271 occupied at the present time. That gives Chippewas of the Thames First Nation 42 a 3.2 persons per housing unit average which is near normal for Chippewa settlements. The Anishinabe language has nearly died out there. Only 25 people there still speak Anishinabe. The Reserve is surrounded by numerous white settlements. There are 20 non Indians living there.
