It is a tiny settlement located adjacent to Flora Lakes northern shores. Housing units, which number as many as six or seven, are located along Beaulieu Circle Northeast. County Road 20 is to it's north. I don't think this tiny settlement is a resort of any kind. Big Lake is about a half a mile south. Cass Lake is ten miles south. Flora Lake or Marsh-kos Ga-miiz (marsh or mashkossisiw is an Ojibway word for plant), is within Sugar Bush Township, Beltrami County, Minnesota which has a population of 247 according to a 2010 census. Indians make up 25.5% of it's population or 63 but 27% when including mixed bloods. About half of Sugar Bush Township, Beltrami County, Minnesota is off Reservation. Population of Flora Lake is probably between 10 and 20. I don't know if this tiny settlement
is predominantly Indian. Elevation is 1,342 feet above sea level. Below is a google earth satellite image of Flora Lake, Minnesota and links to other Leech Lake Reservation communities.
