Fort Good Hope First Nation & History



This mixed Anishinabe-Athabasacan-Inuit band or community, lives in the northwest territories. Their tribal history probably involved being members of the iron confederation. They signed the 1921 treaty 11 with canada. The fort good hope athabascans reserve has few living on the first nation. The total enrolled population of the fort good hope first nation is 839, with 2 living on reserve. It is very similar to the other first nations of the northwest territories. The great majority live off the land that is their first nations.
