Gregoire Lake 176A, Fort McMurray First Nation

Located in northern Alberta, south of the Fort McKay Reserve, is the Chipewyan and Chippewa settlement of Gregoire Lake 176A. Latest population estimate (2006) puts the population of this settlement at 121. There are 43 housing units in this settlement with 28 occupied at the present time. That gives this Chippewa settlement a 4.1 persons per housing unit average which is normal for Chippewa settlements. The Anishinabe and Athabascan languages are not doing well in this community.
