Iron Lightning, Thunder Butte Chippewa Reservation

It is located in Ziebach County, South Dakota and on the Reservation the United States set aside for 300 or so Ute Indians (they were really Anishinabe) in 1907. The settlement is very small and probably very poor. I don't know the demographics of Iron Lightning, South Dakota nor the income of its citizens. I have used google earth to find this isolated settlement in the old Cheyenne River Reservation. There may be up to 30 housing units in the small settlement. Iron Lightning's population is probably between 120 and 240. Elevation of the settlement is 2,170 feet above sea level. Below are several links to photographs of the Anishinabe settlement of Iron Lightning, Thunder Butte Chippewa Reservation.
