It is located 5 miles northeast of Browning and is not a cdp or town. Itakaw is very rural. Cut Bank Boarding School is located very near to this cluster of housing units. These housing units commence where 3 C Bar Road branches off from Boarding School Road. There may be over 20 housing units. However, some appear to be business establishments. Most are located a little east of where Circle Drive exits the boarding school heading due east. All the housing units are locate along 3 C Bar Road. I named this area after a road which leads to the boarding school. That be Itakaw Road. This area covers about 1.5 sq. mi. The population is probably between 50 and 75. Elevation is 4,260 feet above sea level. Itakaw is a good location to commence a town. Sharp Lake is 3 miles to the northeast. Below are several google earth photos of this area of the Blackfeet Reservation.
