Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana needs funding to establish offices at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation, Fort Belknap Reservation and at Great Falls, Montana where Hill 57 Reservation is located. Our goal is to gain Tribal Recognition at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation and Fort Belknap Reservation and Federal Recognition for Rocky Boys Tribe of Chippewa Indians at Great Falls with Reservation. Jackson Village, Leech Lake Reservation


This small Leech Lake Reservation community is located eleven miles northeast of Bena and ten miles northwest of Ball Club. Winnie Dam is two miles to the south. Lake Winnibigoshish is a little over half a mile to the west. Sunset View Resort is located a little over half a mile to the west as well. Jackson Village may have as many as 20 housing units. Nearly all are located along Jackson Village Road. Some are located along County Road 115 and Highway 46. Using google earths historical imagery, Jackson Village does not show up until 2003. It was not around in 1991. It's a newer Leech Lake Reservation community. A few farms are located in the area which is quite unusual since the land is a part of Chippewa National Forest. Jackson Village is within Bowstring Lake Unorganized Territory which has a population of 1,166 according to the 2010 census. 61% of the unorganized territories population is Indian but 65% when including Mexicans and mixed bloods. The population of Jackson Village may be between 60 and 80. Elevation is 1,335 feet above sea level. Below are several google earth photos of Jackson Village, Leech Lake, Reservation.
