Jerms Lake, Lac du Flambeau Reservation

Located in the southern part of the Chippewa Lac du Flambeau Reservation, is the small settlement of Jerms Lake. The housing units in Jerms Lake are located along the lakes southern shores and just to the southwest of the small lake. Using google earth, i counted what appears to be around 15 to 20 housing units in the small settlement. Since Chippewa settlements tend to have household size averages between 3.0 and 4.0 persons per housing unit, Jerms Lake may have a population between 45 and 80. Most are probably Native American. Elevation of the settlement is 1,600 feet above sea level. Below are several links to pictures of the Chippewa settlement of Jerms Lake, Wisconsin.
