Legend Lake, Menominee Reservation


It is the largest settlement on the Anishinabe Menominee Reservation. According to the 2010 census, Legend Lake had a population of 1,525. Native Americans accounted for 70% of the population of Legend Lake. Whites accounted for 28% of the population of the CDP or census designated place of Legend Lake, Wisconsin. Mixed bloods accounted for 1% of the population, while Hispanics accounted for 3% of the cdp's population. Economically the cdp's citizens are doing good compared to most Native American settlements. Around 17% of the cdp's population lives below the poverty line. Keshena covers an area of 20.5 sq. mi., which means the cdp is widely spread out. The cdp has no zip code.
