Lucy Lake, Lac du Flambeau Reservation
Located in the extreme southern portion of the Chippewa Lac du Flambeau Reservation, is the tiny settlement of Lucy Lake. Most of the settlements housing units are located along the northwestern and southwestern shores of the small lake, with a few to the north. Using google earth, i counted what appears to be around 15 housing units in the small settlement. Since the lake is located near the Reservations border to white owned land, i am not certain if the small settlement is predominantly Native American. Since Chippewa settlements tend to have household size averages between 3.0 and 4.0 persons per housing units, the population of Lucy Lake may be between 45 and 60. Elevation of the settlement is 1,590 feet above sea level. Below are several links to pictures of the Chippewa settlement of Lucy Lake, Wisconsin.
