Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana


These Anishinabe people live in the settlement of Fort Chipweyan and also within Wood Buffalo National Park which is adjacent to Fort Chipewyan. Their population is 666 according to the 2011 census. They are an extension of the Akaitcho Nation. The Akaitcho Nation is probably claiming much of northeast Alberta including Wood Buffalo National Park. For the most part the Mikisew demographics are included under Fort Chipewyan. Below is a map of the Mikisew Akaitcho settlement. It includes Wood Buffalo National Park.
