Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana needs funding to establish offices at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation, Fort Belknap Reservation and at Great Falls, Montana where Hill 57 Reservation is located. Our goal is to gain Tribal Recognition at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation and Fort Belknap Reservation and Federal Recognition for Rocky Boys Tribe of Chippewa Indians at Great Falls with Reservation. North Omak, Colville Reservation


It is one of at least 8 settlements located on the Colville Reservation. Only 4 are predominantly Native American. North Omak is a cdp or census designated place. It covers 11.2 sq. mi. The 2010 census reported a population of 688. The cdp has a total of 203 housing units which gives North Omak an average housing unit size of 3.2 persons per housing unit, which is near normal for the average Native American housing unit size. Native Americans make up 68% of North Omak's population. Whites make up 10%. Hispanics make up 19% of the cdp's population. Economically the citizens of North Omak are doing poorly. At least 39% of the citizens of Norh Omak live below the poverty line. Elevation is 1,362 feet above sea level. Below are several links to pictures of North Omak, Colville Reservation.
