North Twin Lake, White Earth Reservation

Located over two miles to the southwest of Naytahwaush, just west of the western shores of North Twin Lake and South Twin Lake, is a cluster of housing units which number between 15 and 20. Around 6 are mobile homes. In between the lakes known as North Twin Lake and South Twin Lake, are many other housing units which are a part of Pinehurst Resort and North Twin Lakes CDP (Census Designated Place) which you don't want to get confused with this settlement. Almost adjacent to the resort on the west are about 5 housing units we will include as being a part of North Twin Lake. This tiny settlement is located within Twin Lakes Township which has a population of 114 according to the 2010 census. Indians make up 87% of the townships population but 93% when including mixed bloods. Naytahwaush covers most of Twin Lakes Township but it's population is not included. Our focus is on the southwestern portion of Twin Lakes Township excluding Pinehurst Resort (North Twin Lakes CDP). The population of North Twin Lake is probably between 30 and 60. Housing units are located along County Road 4, County State Highway 6, Road T216, and a small length of BIA Road 71. Housing units located within North Twin Lake are located away from the lake known as North Twin Lake. Below are google earth photos of the very rural settlement of North Twin Lake, White Clay Reservation.
