Oak Point, Leech Lake Reservation

Located in the southwestern portion of the Chippewa Leech Lake Reservation, is the Chippewa settlement of Oak Point. Using google earth, i counted what appears to be 25 or more housing units in the small community, located on the western shores of Leech Lake. There is a resort in the area i have not included. It is located to the south and west of the spread out community. Since Chippewa average household sizes average 3.0 and higher per persons per housing unit, Oak Point may have a population between 75 and 100. Native Americans probably make up the majority of the population. Below is a link to a google earth satellite image of the beautiful Chippewa settlement of Oak Point, Minnesota.
