Onion Lake


Located in central Alberta and central Saskatchewan where the borders of Alberta and Saskatchewan are, the Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement of Onion Lake has a population of 3,283 according to the 2011 census. The community has 480 housing units and an average household size of 6.2 persons per housing unit. Around 1,220 continue to speak Anishinabe at Onion Lake.
