Mishkeegogamang (Osnaburgh 63B)

This Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement is located in northwestern Ontario. It is over 80 miles northwest of Lake Nipigon. There are several settlements which are affiliated with the Mishkeegogamang Chippewa's. This one could be known as Bottle Hill, Poplar Heights, or Sandy Road. It is 1.5 miles southeast of New Osnaburgh. I have included a cluster of housing units about 0.5 miles northwest of Osnaburgh 63B as a part of Osnaburgh 63B. According to the 2006 population, the population of the Osnaburgh 63B Mishkeegogamang settlements was 347. The average household size is 4.3 persons per housing unit. This settlement has a smaller population than New Osnaburgh which is one of the Osnaburgh 63B settlements. It has around 16 housing units and a population of between 60 and 80. Around 240 continue to speak Anishinabe at the Mishkeegogamang settlements. Below is a link to a picture of the Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement of Osnaburgh 63B.
