Our goal is to gain Tribal Recognition at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation and Fort Belknap Reservation and Federal Recognition for Rocky Boys Tribe of Chippewa Indians at Great Falls with Reservation. Parmelee, Rosebud Reservation
This CDP or census designated place, has a population of 562 according to the 2010 census. Native Americans account for 97% of the cdp's population. Whites account for 2% of the population. There is a total of 160 housing units in Parmelee which gives the cdp an average household size of 4.3 persons per housing unit. Parmelee is doing horrible economically. Around 78% of the citizens of this settlement live below the poverty line. There are very few, if any at all, businesses in this cdp. It covers an area of 5.8 sq. mi. It's zip code is 57566. It has an elevation of 2,638 feet above sea level. Parmelee is one of numerous Native American settlements on the Rosebud Reservation.
