Pemmican Portage


Located in central Saskatchewan about 20 miles west of Manitoba and about a mile south of Cumberland House, the Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement of Pemmican Portage has a population of 712 according to the 2011 census. The community has 165 housing units and an average household size of 4.3 persons per housing unit. Around 355 continue to speak Anishinabe at Pemmican Portage.
