Picayune Rancheria

It is one of the many communities of the Black Hills Indian Reservation. Picayune is located in the same region as Big Sandy, Cold Springs, North Fork, and Table Mountain. According to the 2000 census, the population of Picayune was 20. Indians account for 15 of the population. This Black Hills Reservation community must be relocated away from the whites. There are 7 housing units. The average household size is 3.0 persons per housing unit. Picayune Rancheria is located within land cession number 279. It is linked to the Reservation set aside from land cession numbers 279. The Reservation numbers are 275, 276, 277, and 278.
