Cross Lake 19A


This Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement is located north of Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba. It is one of three Pimicikamak settlements located around Cross Lake. The community of Cross Lake 19A has a population of 1,663 according to the 2006 census. The 2011 census reported that the combined population of all three Cross Lake settlements is 5,541. Pimicikamak 19A has 333 housing units according to the 2006 census. The average household size is 5.0 persons per housing unit. The community has access to southern Manitoba by highway. Around 1,245 continue to speak Anishinabe at Cross Lake 19A. Below is a picture of the Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement of Pimicikamak (Pimichigamak) 19A or Cross Lake 19A.
