Poplar River


Located in eastern Manitoba east of Lake Winnipeg, almost adjacent to Lake Winnpeg, the Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement of Poplar River has a population of 1,146 according to the 2011 census. The community has 170 housing units and an average household size of 6.9 persons per housing unit. Around 350 continue to speak Anishinabe at Poplar River.
