It is only two of six total settlements on the Yankton Reservation of South Dakota that is predominantly Native American. Ravinia had a population of 79 according to the 2000 census. The town of Ravinia is 70% Native American. Whites accounted for 22% of the towns population. Mixed bloods accounted for 2% of the population, while Hispanics accounted for 3% of the towns population. There is a total of 33 housing units in the town of Ravinia which gives the town an average household size of 2.5 persons per housing unit.
