Ryan Village, Minnesota
Using google earth i found this Leech Lake Reservation settlement which appears to have a resort next to it, but the resort is actually located just north of Bena, along the southern shores of Lake Winnibigoshish. Ryan Village, Minnesota has been an important settlement to the Chippewa's for quite a long time. It is located a little over one mile southwest of Lake Winnibigoshish. The small settlement has up to 15 housing units. They are located along Reservation Highway 60, Ryans Circle Northeast, and Ryans Lane Northeast. The population of Ryan Village is probably between 30 and 50. The settlement is located well in the woods. Strangers probably get on the nerves of the settlements residents. Elevation is 1,322 feet above sea level. Below are a few google earth photos of Ryan Village, Leech Lake Reservation.
