Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana

Ryan Village, Minnesota

Using google earth i found this Leech Lake Reservation settlement which appears to have a resort next to it, but that resort is actually located just north of Bena, along Lake Winnibigoshish southern shores. Ryan Village, Minnesota has been an important settlement to Chippewa's for quite a long time. It is located a little over one mile southwest of Lake Winnibigoshish. This small LLR settlement has up to 15 housing units. They are located along Reservation Highway 60, Ryans Circle Northeast and Ryans Lane Northeast. Population of Ryan Village is probably between 30 and 50. This LLR settlement is surrounded by woods. Strangers probably get on nerves of this settlements residents. Elevation is 1,322 feet above sea level. Below are a few google earth satellite images of Ryan Village, Minnesota and links to other Leech Lake Reservation communities.
