It is one of the many communities of the Black Hills Indian Reservation. San Manuel is located adjacent to the San Bernardino suburb of Highland. According to the 2000 census, the population of San Manuel is 74. Indians account for 41 of San Manuel's population. Mexicans account for 34 of the population of San Manuel. Whites account for 20 of the population of San Manuel. As you can tell, there is a population problem, or a race identification problem, at San Manuel. There are 24 housing units.
