Santa Rosa

It is one of the many communities of the Black Hills Indian Reservation. Santa Rosa sits at an elevation of over 4,600 feet above sea level. A road branches off from the Pines to Palms Highway which leads south to the housing units of Santa Rosa. According to the 2000 census, the population of Santa Rosa was 65. Indians account for 53 of the communuities population. There are 19 housing units in Santa Rosa. However, using google earth i counted over 40 housing units which means the population has increased since 2000. The population of Santa Rosa could be near 100 now. The housing units are widely spread out. Santa Rosa is not a city or town nor a CDP. Below are several google earth photos of the Santa Rosa region.
