South Cahuilla


It is one of the many communities of the Black Hills Indian Reservation. It is located 2.2 miles southeast of Cahuilla and 1.5 miles southwest of The Ranch. South Cahuilla is not a settlement but a very rural community with most of it's housing units in a small area 2.2 miles southeast of Cahuilla. It's population is included with that of Cahuilla's which is 154, as are it's housing units. Cahuilla has 48 total housing units. Indians account for 116 of Cahuilla's population of 154. Mexicans account for 26. Many of South Cahuilla's housing units are located along Walker Ranch Road. South Cahuilla has around 20 or so housing units and a population of 60 to 80. Elevation is 3,868 feet above sea level. Below are several google earth photos of the South Cahuilla region.
