Rocky Boy Tribe
of
Chippewa Indians of
Montana

South End, Minnesota

It is a cdp (Census Designated Place) located southwest of Lower Rice Lake. South End or Auginaush, covers 1.7 sq. mi. It has 15 housing units and a population of 25 according to a 2010 census. However, it's population is obviously a bit higher since this cdp has at least 15 housing units and Chippewa settlements tend to have higher per persons per housing unit than that of whites. Population of South End or Auginaush, is probably between 30 and 40. Indians make up 96% of South End or Auginaush population. About a third of their housing units are mobile homes. WER leaders must better organize this community and construct new housing units. Elevation is 1,519 feet about sea level. Below are a few google earth photos of South End or Auginaush, Minnesota and links to other White Earth Reservation communities.
