Swiftbird, Cheyenne River-Standing Rock Reservation

It is located in the eastern part of the Cheyenne River District, very near the Missouri River, in Dewey County, South Dakota. Using google earth i counted about 40 housing units in the settlement of Swiftbird. The population of the settlement of Swiftbird may be between 160 and 320. Economically, the settlement is probably poor. There are few if any at all, businesses in the settlement. Elevation of Swiftbird is 1,850 feet above sea level.
