Tekvic

It is one of the many communities of the Black Hills Indian Reservation. It is one of two communities which make up Los Coyotes. It is located 2 miles to the southeast of Warner Springs, California. According to the 2000 census, the population of Los Coyotes is 70. Indians account for 56 of Tekvic's population of 70. There are 23 housing units in both Los Coyotes communities. However, using google earth, i counted between 20 and 25 housing units located in Tekvic. I named this community Tekvic after one of the roads located there. The housing units are located in two areas. The first one is closer to Warner Springs. The other is about a half a mile to the east. The population of Tekvic is probably between 60 and 80. Elevation is 3,755 feet above sea level at the west end, while at the east end, it is 3,992 feet above sea level. Below is a google earth photo of Tekvic.
