Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana


Located in central Saskatchewan about 46 miles east of Alberta and over 30 miles northwest of the Jackfish Lake Saulteaux who they were originally a part of, the Chippewa Treaty 9 Reservation settlement of Thunderchild has a population of 975 according to the 2011 census. The community has 205 housing units and an average household size of 4.7 persons per housing unit. Around 405 continue to speak Anishinabe at Thunderchild.
