Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana needs funding to establish offices at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation, Fort Belknap Reservation and at Great Falls, Montana where Hill 57 Reservation is located. Our goal is to gain Tribal Recognition at Blackfeet Reservation, Crow-Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Flathead Reservation and Fort Belknap Reservation and Federal Recognition for Rocky Boys Tribe of Chippewa Indians at Great Falls with Reservation. Wapachewunak, Saskatchewan


This Chippewa Chippewa Treaty 11 Reservation community is located along the extreme northern shores of the northern portion of Lac (lake) Ile a la Crosse, Saskatchewan. Vapuchevunak, Saskatchewan is a Chippewan (Chipewyan) of English River, village. The population of Wapachewunak, Saskatchewan is 482 according to the 2011 census. It decreased by 44 from the 2006 census. The number of housing units in Vapuchevunak is 176 with 159 occupied. The average household size is 3.0 persons per housing unit which is below normal for Chippewa settlements. The Anishinabe language (in the corrupted Dene form) is widely spoken at Vapuchevunak.
