It is the only Native American settlement on the Warm Springs Reservation. The CDP or census designated place of Warm Springs, has a population of 2,431 according to the 2000 census. Native Americans accounted for 93% of the cdp's population. Whites accounted for 2% of the population. Mixed bloods accounted for 2% of the population, while Hispanics accounted for 6% of the cdp's population. There is a total of 642 housing units in the cdp, which gives the cdp an average household size of around 3.9 persons per housing unit. Economically the citizens of Warm Springs are not doing so well. Around 32% or a third of the cdp's population, lives below the poverty line. Warm Springs covers an area of 42.7 sq. mi., which means it is spread out. The location is especially beautiful and rightfully a desert. Elevation is 1,539 feet above sea level. Zip code is 97761.
