Woodland 228, Woodland First Nation


Located in northwestern Alberta, the Chippewa settlement of Woodland 228 has a population of 117 according to the 2006 population estimate. There are 45 total housing units in the community with 25 occupied at the present time. That gives this Chippewa settlement a 4.0 persons per housing unit average which is normal for Chippewa settlements. Around 65 people there still speak Anishinabe which means Anishinabe is doing good there. Around 35 people there use Anishinabe as their main language. There are no non Indians living there.
