God's River First Nation

Located in far northeastern Manitoba, not too far from the western Shores of Hudson Bay, is the Anishinabe gods river first nation. In history, the Anishinabek probably invaded this region in Manitoba during the late 17th century or early 18th century, to defend Indian land from the invading Freemasons who were, of course, the English and French. The whites were supplying the Athabascans and Dakotas with their guns and ammunition but they still were incapable of dominating the military of the Anishinabe people. There are 4 Reserve which makes up this First Nation. They cover an area of 1,888 total hectares or 4,665 total acres. Total population is 780, with most (659) living on reserve, while 119 live off reserve, and 2 live on other reserves.
