Mosquito First Nation
Located about 30 kilometers or 18 miles south of Battleford, Saskatchewan, is Mosquito First Nation which is within Battleford Ojibway Reserve. Land area of Mosquito is within Battleford Ojibway Reserve. A land surrender happened in 1905 for chief Rocky Boy's Montana Ojibway's. It wasn't for whites. On-Reserve population of Mosquito First Nation is 478 according to 2016's census. There are 113 housing units at Mosquito First Nation with 107 lived in. Average household size is 4.6 persons per household. Around 105 speak Corrupted Ojibway Language which is what Lewis and Clark called Cree Language, at Mosquito First Nation.
