Nelson House First Nation


Located about 64 kilometers or 40 miles west of Thompson, Manitoba, is Nelson House First Nation which is within Misipawistik Ojibway Reserve. Below are links to google earth photos of their land. Their on-Reserve population is 2,547 according to 2016's census. They have 519 dwellings with 489 lived in. Average household size is 5.2 persons per household. Around 1,045 speak Corrupted Ojibway Language which is what Lewis and Clark called Cree Language, at Nelson House First Nation.
