Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation

This band of Ojibway's Reserve is located on Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. Below are several google earth photos of this Ojibway Reserve communities. Their on-Reserve population is 615 according to 2016's census. They have 410 dwellings with 252 lived which is a bad indicator. Average household size is 2.4 persons per household which is below normal for Ojibway communities. Ojibway Language is no longer spoken there. You don't want to know about their history with white leaders who lied to them and still lie to them. Their nation was originally known as Cape Croker Indian Reserve. They currently use Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation as their nations name. Their nation covers an area of 63.81 sq. km. or 24.6 sq. mi. That's after all those broken treaties. They claim chief Nawash fought beside Tecumseh during War of 1812. If he did, he fought on their enemies side. Their enemy being American whites and English whites. Tecumseh was a spy who worked on behalf of whites who paid him, as they did his nephew Spemica Lawba. What happened after War of 1812? English demands for Ojibway land. Ojibway leaders in Michigan and Ontario, were not in an alliance with neither England and United States. Ojibway's who lived well south of Michigan, were in an alliance with England and United States. Their leader was Tecumseh. They wanted that fighting to stop. It was Tecumseh that illegally ceded land.
