Ojibway Nation of Saugeen First Nation


These Ojibways are quite isolated yet connected to white communities by Highway 599. Ojibway Nation of Saugeen First Nation has an on-Reserve population of 90 according to 2016's census. Since they have road access to white communities, their population constantly decreases. They have 38 dwellings with 27 lived in. Average household size is 3.0 persons per household. Around 35 speak Ojibway at Ojibway Nation of Saugeen First Nation. They are signatories to Treaty 3 yet are closely related to Lake Nipigon Ojibways and possibly signed 1850's Robinson-Huron Treaty.
