Rat Portage First Nation


This band of Ojibway's live in far western northwestern Ontario, near Minnesota, within Lake of the Woods Ojibway Reserve. Below are google earth photos of Rat Portage First Nation and other communities of Lake of the Woods Reserve. Population of Rat Portage First Nation is 140 according to 2016's census. That does not include those living with whites. They have 231 dwellings with 46 lived in. An indication their leaders are allowing whites to invade and colonize this Reserve. We won't tolerate it! Average household size is 3.1 persons per household. Ojibway Language is yet spoken there. Around 30 people speak Ojibway at Rat Portage First Nation.
