Whitedog First Nation of Ontario

These Ojibway's live in northwestern Ontario. Whitedog First Nation is an Ojibway Kasba Reservation community. They are Albany River Ojibway's. Their on-Reserve population according to 2016's census, is 827. They have 233 dwellings with 212 lived in. Average household size is 4.0 persons per household. Around 420 speak Ojibway Language at Whitedog First Nation. Their location was very important in wars against invading whites and their Eskimo allies. They were guards of Albany River to Lake Winnipeg. They are somewhat of an isolated community.
