September 12-15, 1814 Battle of Baltimore

This battle was fought where present day Baltimore, Maryland is located. This battle was the last in the Washington D.C. expedition and was more of a retreat away from that region by the Anishinabe Army stationed there. The large white military force won the battle, but the Anishinabek had accomplished their goal. In the major battle, white casualties were 891 killed, wounded or captured. Many Ojibway Soldiers departed southwards towards Florida, and many more returned to their homes up north, after they had accomplished their military assignment. Those Ojibway Soldiers who returned to the south would later on participate in the war for control of Anishinabe controlled Florida.
