The Battle of Fallen Timbers

It is the battle that ended the long American Revolutionary War. Simply put, the principle Anishinabe ogimak (leaders) were so outraged with the actions of the small group of Anishinabek (they be the Delaware, Fox, Illini, Miami, Mohegan, Sauk, and the Shawnee), they would force them to pay for the deception at the Battle of Fallen Timbers. Around 4,500 white soldiers showed up for battle at an area where a great many trees had been felled by a tornado earlier. Around 1,000 Delaware, Fox, Illini, Miami, Mohegan, Sauk, and Shawnee soldiers showed up under the leadership of the white man Blue Jacket. The main Anishinabek also showed up but only with maybe 1,000 to 1,500 of their soldiers. They certainly would have brought 1,000s more but they knew their Nation had been corrupted by the whites. Instead of participating with the Delaware, Fox, Illini, Miami, Mohegan, Sauk, and Shawnee soldiers, they commenced to leave the battle scene once the battle commenced. The Delaware, Fox, Illini, Miami, Mohegan, Sauk, and Shawnee soldiers were soundly defeated. Thus, they paid for their deception. Their casualties were especially high. White casualties were high but not as high as the Delaware, Fox, Illini, Miami, Mohegan, Sauk, and Shawnee casualties. This white victory brought the American Revolutionary War to an end.
